Support new music: choose from our favourite new albums this month.
Brooklyn is fast becoming the epicentre of creative original music. You'll be pleased to know then, that the band members of Arizona do not reside from the Grand Canyon state, but indeed the buoyant borough of New York.
This album was actually self-released in America late last year, but is now picking up a bit of buzz due to some serious airplay on various radio stations.
The album itself is a plethora of different swooping changes of musical direction. One minute, you can peg them as the new Turin Brakes, the next they sound like a mid-tempo Band of Horses with the percussion of the Delgados.
And its this that makes WBDC so impressive. From the laid back 'Some Kind of Chill', to the daring 'Splintering', this is a pure joy to listen to, right the way through.
Arizona are currently touring with the Slip, and if your lucky enough to be at SxSW then you should be able to catch them supporting Band of Horses.
