I tell you it's all good news emanating from Cornwall today. Not only has David Cameron been pelted with an egg, but also Vampire Weekend have confirmed they'll open this year's Eden Sessions, two years after they last graced the same stage.
Tjarko Wieringa, Eden Sessions Creative Director, said he was “thrilled” that Vampire Weekend had agreed to return.
Support will come from Danger Mouse and Shins collaborative project Broken Bells.
Vampire Weekend and Broken Bells join a line-up which features Jack Johnson and Mojave 3 on June 26, Mika on June 27, Doves and Mumford & Sons on July 2 and what's labelled as a dance extravaganza with Calvin Harris, Annie Mac, Audio Bullys and Reverend Soundsystem on July 3. Paolo Nutini and Martha Wainwright are the last scheduled acts to appear on July 13.
The majority of these shows have long sold out, so be sure to snap up your Vampire Weekend tickets when they go on sale via the Eden Project website on Tuesday (April 27) at 6pm.
