Current +44 drummer and former Blink-182 percussionist Travis Barker has given a few quick hints about what it'd take to get the old band back together.
The three members of the band have often discussed in the minutest detail what happened to lead up to the original split. The general consensus is that Tom DeLonge wanted to do his own thing and therefore made life as difficult as possible for the other Blink-182 members so that he could quit the band repercussion-free.
Speaking in a recent interview, Barker explained that these rifts would have to be healed first before anything could ever progress.
"I don't know. You know, to be honest with you, I haven't spoken to Tom [DeLonge] in five years," he explained. "I speak to Mark [Hoppus] every day, he's one of my greatest friends, so...that's the status of that. I think everyone would have to be friends, and I think we'd all have to want to do it in order for it to happen."

Please, this is another sad marketing attempt to keep their "new" band in the public eye. Sheesh, they havent talked to each other for five years! That should tell you exactly what the chances are of the band ever getting back together again.
Plus they're a shoddy band anyway.

Yeah it would a good thing if Blink got back together, but do you really think its goin to happen over a plane incident. i highly doubt, as much i want it to, it wont. also, Honestly it doesnt matter if AvA and +44 arent doing very well, trust me, Tom is SO rich, he could afford to make so many albums that dont sell, its ridiculous, hes doin AvA on his terms, wether we like it or not, the music is made for himself. Thats why blink was a great band anyways, they messed up alot and they admitted it, The admit to being a "shoddy" band, cause they were doin it for fun, not for the fame and fortune, and fortunatly all that stupidity got them to where they are today. before you guys start rambling off about them, i suggest you get ur sources right!

Blink 182 were one of the best bands out. They weren't in it for fame and fortune, they didn't care about the money, they were family.
Tom left because he didn't wanna be in the band anymore, he didn't stay to make money, he left. Ehat would you friggen do in his position. He had enough of blick 182. Get over it.

Blink are the best band ever and whether they get back together or not that will never change.
Tom had good reasons behind why they broke up-people move on and grow out of things- it was time for another chapter in his life- he cant be writing songs about first dates and falling in love at rock shows forever. People who call him an arse for that need to think deeper into the reasons.
As much as I would LOVE for them to get back together and start off where they left off with their awesome music,its up to them.
We just need to accept what they decide and love them for their decisions.

look, Travis is the main drummer that got me on my feet in the music world, and I owe my status as the best under 18 drummer in my town to him. I follow his foot steps and even sent him a get well card but my dad didn't let me. bottom line is: i need blink 182 bad I will do ANYTHING, litteraly just to get them back together again p.s. it's tom's fault he wanted to be all cool so if we can convince the snoot to do it than we may have a shot.
Blink 182 is the best band ever. I still listen to them like 24/7 and it never gets old. Blink 182 is basicallly my passion. Please, get back together. If you do, I'll go to your concerts!
