To mark the UK release date of their début album Horehound, The Dead Weather will unveil the uncensored first play of their new video “Treat Me Like Your Mother.”

The film was directed by Jonathan Glazer, whose credits range from such highly-acclaimed feature films as Sexy Beast and Birth to award-winning music videos for Radiohead. The film will première in full on Channel 4 in the UK on July 13 at 00:10.

The Dead Weather, for those not already aware, is the new all-star musical venture comprising Dean Fertita (Queens Of The Stone Age), Jack Lawrence (The Greenhornes/The Raconteurs), Alison Mosshart (The Kills) and Jack White (The White Stripes/The Raconteurs).

Speaking about the video, Jack White remarked “It was overwhelmingly electric working with Jonathan Glazer on this project, which feels more short film than video. I’ve never felt an intensity like I did on the set of this shoot.  Absolutely violent, explosive, and poetic.”

Horehound, in the meantime, will be released on July 13 also, through Third Man/Columbia Records. Yes, you read that right. Third Man Records, aren't you just alive with pleasure now.
