Being perhaps the busiest band at this year's South By Southwest Festival, Manchester's The Whip certainly don't appear to have run out of steam at the end of Day two of this year's festival.
Intense and self-assured, The Whip pull out a stormer of a show, showcasing their rhythm heavy, synth-tinged indie dance music to a tee.
The Whip are here to get an American distribution deal for for their new LP and by these standards, they won't have a problem.
Before the gig, certain voices could be heard saying: “The Whip? What an odd name!” By the end of the show, they were chanting The Whip's name with gusto. Simply superb.

Both shows I caught were excellent, especially the Dim Mak party.
