Slovakian Festival Cancelled After Death

The Pohoda Festival in Solvakia was cancelled after an accident killed one person and inflicted injuries on forty others.

Set in the town of Trencin in Slovakia, the festival was supposed to feature performance by bands such as Pendulum, Razorlight, The Ting Tings, Danananananaykroyd, Travis and Does It Offend You, Yeah! However, a gust of wind lifted and then collapsed one of the tents with forty gig-goers inside receiving injuries, fifteen of them serious injuries.

The 30,000 attendees were then told that the festival was being cancelled. Mario Gesvantner, a spokesman for the organisers, said weather forecasts had not warned of severe storms. Some local sources are claiming that the fatality involved a young boy.
