Several of the indie-rock elite have contributed tracks to a new compilation album entitled “Causes 1”. The Shins, Death Cab For Cutie, Bloc Party and Animal Collective are among the band seeking to bring attention to the Darfur atrocities.
The album is being released by Waxploitation who are part of the struggle to shed light on some of the worst human rights violations of our modern age. The compilation is a limited release, and one hundred percent of the proceeds will be distributed between Doctors Without Borders, Human Rights Watch, and Oxfam America, all of which are non-profit organisations.
The 14-track CD will feature exclusive remixes and covers of tracks. The listing is:
