Portishead Complete New Album

24th October 2007 | by Gavin Riley

Portishead's Geoff Barrow has announced that the band have just about completed their third full-length album.

In a posting on the band's website yesterday, Barrow wrote that the band uprooted to London in order to finish up the long-awaited follow-up to their 1997 self-titled album.

"I think one more day messing about with it and it will be done. Then into the wonderful world of mastering," he sarcastically enthused.

Barrow added that the band are now working on some artwork and getting the live stuff together, while also confirming additional plans for their ATP Festival in Minehead this December, an event Portishead are curating.

The plans involve arranging a six-a-side football competition. Best festival ever......

All Tomorrow's Parties is set to take place December 7-9 at Butlins Holiday Centre in Minehead, and Strange Glue will be there to cover it in full.
