Portishead Announce Long Awaited Return

22nd May 2007 | by Gavin Riley

Portishead are to perform and curate 'All Tomorrow's Parties - Nightmare Before Christmas' this December.

It will be the Bristol band's first official concert in nearly ten years. The ATP event will take place at Butlins in Minehead, Somerset between December 7th and 9th.

The group will choose the line-up for the three day mini-festival which will be headlined by themselves, and will feature 50 different acts across the weekend.

They said: "We have always loved the All Tomorrow's Parties set up and we're happy our first shows will be there. It's great to have the opportunity to introduce bands we love or have influenced us.

"We've chosen a diverse collection of artists to play with us and we're really looking forward to it."

The first confirmed bands will be announced over the next few days, but tickets are available now from the usual places.
