Support new music: choose from our favourite new albums this month.

Nine Inch Nails have proved to be a pioneering band when it comes to exploring new ways of releasing music, and this looks set to continue with the release of their latest track.

This time the single entitled 'Echoplex' will be freely available via social networking site Facebook.

As well as releasing free tracks via their website, and even uploading material onto popular Bittorrent site The Pirate Bay, the band have also experimented with giving away the music source material and allowing fans to create remixes.

Releasing via Facebook is likely to be an attempt to strengthen the community of Nine Inch Nails fans across the Social site which is used by more than 40 million people across the world.

The single can be downloaded from this link, you will need a Facebook login (which is free to sign up for).

Shame on Trent Reznor! He should stop stealing ideas from Radiohead!

Radiohead just pulled a publicity stunt.

Trent came up with this idea long before radiohead, he just had to break from his record label first before he could apply it.

Not that it should bring him "shame" either way.

like both bands and will happily pay for releases.
