NIN Announce Precursor Gigs

28th March 2008 | by Aidan Williamson

In what they have described as a 'first wave' of live shows, Nine Inch Nails are bringing their ghosts to the realm of the United States of America starting at the end of July.

Frontman Trent Reznor made a bit of a splash recently as he accused Radiohead of ripping off their fans by releasing "In Rainbows" at low-quality bit rates. Nine Inch Nails meanwhile have been releasing via - what many analysts claim to be - the perfect model. Offering the fans the opportunity to remix their songs and tiering their albums price-range depending on how much the buyer wishes to pay.

The move paid off after the band received over $1.5 million in sales revenue during the first week alone.
