If press releases are to be believed, Frightened Rabbit have a new album in the works due in Spring of 2010.

Whilst we weren't expecting to hear a peep from the band regarding the untitled L.P until much closer to Christmas, the Scots have in fact recorded a new single and it's due to hit shelves on November 16th.

That's pretty good news in our books so we were even more shocked to find that the bands label, FatCat Records have gone and uploaded both the single Swim Until You Can't See Land and its b-side Fun Stuff on their Frightened Rabbit artist page. They can both be heard HERE.

The former of the two and main single is a gentle slow-burner that breaks into some typically enjoyable Rabbit folk-indie-pop with Scottish accents, anthemic percussions and repeated chorus lines littering the last few minutes.

The b-side is a mainly acoustic affair all about the 'fun stuff' that people get up to in bed together. Of course this is Frightened Rabbit after all so it's all yearning and needy instead of sexual and rude.

Living up to expectations or a bit too poppy for your liking ? Give them both a listen or two and let us know what you think once you're done.
