The organisers of the ATP events have confirmed today that this year's 'Nightmare Before Christmas' festival will be curated by none other than prolific shoegaze legends My Bloody Valentine.

The band returned to the live scene last year with a sold out UK tour and also were in charge of the inaugural ATP in New York last year which featured the band alongside Yo La Tengo, Mogwai and Built To Spill.

A few acts have already been confirmed for the 2009 Nightmare Before Christmas. Sonic Youth, De La Soul, EPMD, Sun Ra Arkestra and The Horrors will join My Bloody Valentine with more acts to be confirmed soon.

Tickets go on sale from Friday 17th April and are priced from £150 though if you're quick there's an early bird discount available from the official site where a limited number of tickets are available from £130.

The event will take place at the Butlins Holiday Resort in Minehead, England from the 4th to the 6th December 2009.
