Everybody release a collective sigh of relief. The music scene hasn't been the same since Fred Durst withdrew his poignant, passionate band Limp Bizkit from the fray. Two-and-a-half years after their parting, now they are reactivated and re-energised.
The band had all gone on to other projects with guitarist Wes Borland joining Marilyn Manson and Mr. Durst himself directing highly regarded Hollywood movies "The Education of Charlie Banks" and "The Longshots". Borland however will not be leaving Manson for the reunion, for some reason deciding that another return to “The Bizkit” was not in his best interests. He will be replaced by Evanescence guitarist Terry Balsamo. The red cap meanwhile has enjoyed an illustrious few years as the C.E.O of the Fox Entertainment Group.
Durst confirmed the news via a MySpace posting which went like so: "Yes, it has been a while. But a while worth the wait. It is getting very close to time to drop the Bizkit on the universe. I say this with the absolute best intentions and motivation. We, Limp Bizkit, are excited about the future for us and for you. Let's stir some shit up my friends.". Stir it up, release it. Same thing really at the end of the day.
When the band themselves promote their releases as "a piece of shit and a waste of money." you just know that the reunion is going to be good.
