Support new music: choose from our favourite new albums this month.

Queens Of The Stone Age frontman and one-third of new supergroup Them Crooked Vultures recently sat down with the lovely people over at BBC 6Music and spoke out about the possibility of a new LP this year.

During the interview, Homme said about recording the follow-up album:

"There isn't a reason not to, we love playing in this band. We have such a good time together and it's fun and it feels like we're obligated to risk and challenge ourselves.  It's such a rewarding risk to take you know, it's like high tension wire. As we've done these shows I see the audiences and how excited they get. If we go off in to some crazy jam that goes on for 10 minutes too long, you see the audience as it resolves into this finale. When you finally get there and you see people get goose bumps, you finally tie it up in a bow and go 'bam.' People just go 'wow' and it's great."

Couple that with the recent talking Dave Grohl has done about the new band and you've got a very promising start to a band that seem more than happy making more music together.

Sounds good to us.

Since Kyuss' dissolution, Josh Homme has gone on to mainstream success with Desert Sessions, Queens of the Stone Age, and most recently Them Crooked.
