Glasvegas Announce New Album

Glasvegas were tipped by many to have a breakthrough year in 2008. Sadly some of the shine has come off the Glasgow-based outfit, perhaps because it's taken so long for them to release their debut album.

But the buff can now be reapplied, because the four-piece have announced the release of their self-titled album timed for the first day of September, via Columbia Records.

The band recorded all of the tracks in New York this year with producer Rich Costey, who's previously worked with Muse, who coincidently Glasvegas will support on a mega date in Dublin next month.

The band keep up their frenetic live touring reputation, playing just about every festival over the next two months, details of which you can find below.

And who knows, by waiting this long to release an album, it might have given them the time to fill the album chock full of good stuff.
