Foals, aka Yannis Philippakis, Jack Bevan, Jimmy Smith, Edwin Congreave and Walter Gervers have let loose details of what's in store for fans this coming year.
Describing their music as a mix of indie with elements from techno and math rock, they've just finished their own U.K tour in addition to supporting 'Bloc Party' on a number of gigs earlier this year, Foals - who are signed to Transgressive Records - have just announced the release of their forthcoming debut album titled 'Antidotes' for March 2008.
Although the album was originally produced by Dave Sitek of TV on the Radio, the band was dissatisfied with Sitek's final cut of tracks decided to independantly re-mix the entire album themselves. The Oxford boys have suprisingly not included the two popular singles 'Hummer' and 'Mathletics' in their track listing, this is despite both singles being used to promote the band via their 'MySpace' site and the single 'Mathletics' being highly praised by music critics. Fans will be pleased however that 'Balloons' has still been kept.
The full tracklisting of 'Antidotes' will be:
'The French Open'
'Cassius'
'Red Socks Pugie'
'Olympic Airways'
'The Race For Radio Supremacy'
'Balloons'
'Heavy Water'
'Two Steps, Twice'
'Big Big Love (Fig. 2)'
'Like Swimming'
'Tron'
