The first names for this years 'Download Festival' have been confirmed and whilst it's admittedly a bit of a mixed bag, we're confident in saying that it's a pretty good start.

The first headlining act to be announced is AC/DC and joining them are Deftones, Them Crooked Vultures, Megadeth, Bullet For My Valentine, Stone Temple Pilots, Motorhead, Volbeat and Wolfmother.

As usual, the Festival will take place at Donington Park in Leicestershire over the weekend of June 11th - 13th. Tickets are set to go on sale as of this Friday, January 29th over at the official Download website. Five day camping will set you back £180 whilst the three day camping passes are going for ten pounds cheaper at £170.

More names are said to be announced over the course of the next few weeks so we'll be sure to keep you updated on those as soon as they sift through.
