For those unaware, the duo that is Dead Man's Bones consists of two actors by the names of Ryan Gosling (who's awesome if you ignore The Notebook) and Zach Shields (who we've never heard of in our life).

Earlier in the year, we posted THIS showing the first video from the duo and it genuinely blew us away. Now, not only have we been given another new song but also, the band have announced their debut record details.

The upcoming LP is titled the same as the band's name and will be released on October 6th of this year via the Anti- label. The band and record also prominently features the Silverlake Conservatory Children's Choir and, in an interview with Pitchfork, Gosling had this to say:

"You know when you're a kid and you get crayons and papers and just draw whatever you want and it's just a bunch of messy lines, but to you it makes sense, and then they put it on the fridge? From that point on, you're always trying to get back on the fridge, you start drawing things that look like something, like, the more it looks like a horse, the more chance you have of getting it on the fridge. We wanted to get back to that place before we were trying to make the fridge. We wanted to work with people who hadn't been affected in that way yet."

We genuinely can't wait to hear what the finished product sounds like and if the new track Name In Stone is anything to go by, we think it's safe to say it's gonna be a pretty interesting ride.

The video for Name In Stone can be seen below and both new songs can be heard on the bands Myspace page HERE.

Gosling uses a magnificent metaphor...crayons...fridges...music, well, I like it anyway.
