Remember that cryptic poster showing the words Dark Night Of The Soul that we wrote about back in April HERE? Well more details have come to light surrounding the mysterious collaboration between Danger Mouse and a host of other names and it looks even better than we thought.

Dark Night Of The Soul is basically a collaboration album and book featuring a host of names including Black Francis of The Pixies, Julian Casablancas of The Strokes, Vic Chesnutt, The Flaming Lips, Jason Lytle ex-member of the now defunct Grandaddy, James Mercer of The Shins, Nina Persson of The Cardigans, Iggy Pop, Gruff Rhys of Supper Furry Animals and Suzanne Vega and is due this summer.

The book will feature over one hundred unique photos taken and created by none other than David Lynch (Think Eraserhead and Mulholland Drive). The book will be coupled alongside the CD.

"Gee whizz!" you're thinking, "I sure would love to have a listen to this right here right now!" you shout a-loud. Well shout no more my humble readers as the entire thing can be streamed right now from HERE.

"Golly gosh!" you scream to your friends "that sounded awesome, but I wonder how they'd make a live concert out of it?" you ponder. Well ponder no longer as the answers lay just after these words.

Instead of attempting to gather all of those artists into one space, we lucky humans will instead be treated to an "art based" experience that features galleries of the photos from the book and music from the record playing in some form or another.

So have a listen to the record via the above link, then check out the rather creepy promo video for the entire ordeal just underneath and then, when you're finally done with all of that; leave us a comment about what you thought.
