Struggling to survive in the current climate, Virginia, U.S.A-based retailers Circuit City have announced a raft of store closures which will result in there being 155 fewer places to buy records in the United States.
Of the 155 impending closures, 13 are in Arizona, 24 are in California, 7 are in Florida, 19 in Georgia, 14 in Illinois, 8 in New York, 11 in Ohio and 9 are in Texas amongst others. A full list of the locations to close can be seen at the Circuit City website.
The downsizing commenced immediately with the locations in question not opening on Tuesday (Nov 4). 'Everything Must Go' sales have now begun with the shops expected to close completely before the calendar year is out.
