Reclusive dubstep producer Burial has secured the bookies favourite odds to win this year's Mercury Music Prize.
The act, which was long-rumoured to be a side-project of Norman Cook, was recently revealed to be a Mr. William Bevan who merely wished for the music to speak for itself, thus making the decision to withhold his name. He relented on his identity after tabloid curiosity intensified to a point where his identity had indeed overshadowed his music.
Bookmakers Stan James have published their odds for the event due to take place on Tuesday evening (September 9) in London. The reception will also feature performances from many of the nominees, including The Last Shadow Puppets, Elbow, Estelle, Neon Neon, Adele, Laura Marling and British Sea Power.
Personally our tip for the big prize is the British Sea Power album.

I think Neon Neon, i really dont think they'll go for the "favorite" after last year's choice.

As has been commented on this site elsewhere, its the names lacking on this list that are the big surprise.
However a BSP win would restore some credibility.
I think they'll give it to Radiohead though, for "changing the way music is delivered".... and for getting just about every music site to speculate on which band is next going "to do a Radiohead"
