So everyone and their cat knows that the Arctic Monkeys newest and third LP goes by the rather simple name of Humbug (our news can be seen HERE if not).
The new records artwork has also recently been confirmed (HERE) so what else left to do but announce the very first single?
Crying Lightning is it's name and August 17th is it's official release date however, the online world will be able to grab said track a lot sooner than that.
A certain Mr Zane Lowe is set to play the track on his Radio 1 show (and will probably be dubbed 'the hottest track in the world right now' no doubt) on July 6th (thats next Monday) and as of midnight on the same evening, the track will be available as an iTunes based download.
Humbug is set for release on August 24th of this year and though we're still unsure as to what to think of the upcoming long-player, there's still an ever present tinge of excitement growing from within that shouts; surely if Josh Homme of QOTSA produced it, it has to be good right?
