During the half time break of America's fast growing 'past-time' (suck it Baseball) of the NFL Superbowl, something illegal apparently happened.
Fans of the Arcade Fire may of noticed the use of their song “No Cars Go” during an advert on Fox, obviously credible indie bands and News Corp don't mix (besides on MySpace) so fans were more than a little riled up about things, as were the Arcade Fire it seems.
The band have stated that they never gave permission to Fox to use the song in the advert and are currently assessing their options with regard to the matter. Although, suffice to say, the band are 'unhappy', which you may upgrade to 'fuming' if you enjoy sensationalism.
Come on Butler and co. It was clearly 'promotional' music.
