65daysofstatic Soak Up Austin

65 Days of Static have been taking in the pleasures of Austin, Texas before their showcase @ Elysium tonight.

Speaking in a message to fans, they mused at the amount of bands attempting to get spotted. While also pointing out the lengths taken to keep the crew sober.

Joe: “We drove out to a park today, in an effort to stop the crew drinking before lunch, and had a walk that involved terrapins in the river and lots of strange birds, and I believe a kind of plant called alfalfa which I've always wanted to see because it's in Of Mice and Men. There's also a bird called a grackle that makes insane noises, had to ask a state trooper to confirm it was called grackle, he had a huge gun.”

65daysofstatic are on at 12am tonight at the Elysium in Austin. Described as “Austin's gothic and industrial haven”, they'll play a 45 minute set before Pittsburgh's 'Girl Talk' come on to close the night for the 'Fanatic PR Showcase'.
