There's no excuse as to why we haven't featured Queens Of The Stone Age yet in our Video Of The Week feature but fear not, their week has come.
Whilst you can see a whole host of awesome QOTSA videos on YouTube, we didn't want to go for the typical 'No One Knows' riffage or 'Go For The Flow' pounding; deciding instead to look for the best atmosphere over anything else.
Make It Wit Chu is from the bands latest record, 2007's Era Vulgaris sits as one of the bands best tracks to date. It's more relaxed than their previous work but still fits perfectly within their sweaty, desert-rock style.
This version here sees the band play live to a respectable sized crowd but the focal point isn't about the size, it's about just how damn good the band are at recreating their material. Every note is pitch-perfect and if anything, the song is even more atmospheric than its CD counterpart, filling the atmosphere with stoner-grooves and melodic musicality as sweat drips from every human in the venue.
You can check the video out below but first, we have to recommend watching THIS as well. Who knew you could swear, threaten and push as much as Josh Homme does?
