Support new music: choose from our favourite new albums this month.

There's not much you can say about Rock Plaza Central that hasn't already been said.

They're possibly one of the greatest bands that nobody knows and whilst they're slowly growing into a folk/rock beast of which the likes we've never seen, they still somehow retain a grounded, cohesive musical genius that you just don't see nowadays.

Live, the band are even more immersive and thats just one of the endless reasons why we've decided to feature them as this weeks Video Of The Week. Coupling a modest stage with their intensely engaging presence, the video is a fantastic watch from start to finish.

The track featured is I Am An Excellent Steel Horse from their 2006 release Are We Not Horses and although they vaguely stumble at the intro, it only adds to the overall enjoyment of the video.

We can't get over how involved and concentrative the entire band become when playing their music (the last minute is ridiculously powerful, regardless of how simple the actual instrumentation is).

Check it out below and let us know what you thought of it by commenting at the bottom of the page. It's not particularly loud so turning up the volume is recommended.

Oh, and if you want to see the band cover quite possibly one of the most random song choices in the entire universe, then click HERE (although it's pretty darn cool if we're honest).
