In their homecoming show, Spoon take to an open air stage in front of tens of thousands of adoring fans. Video cameras overhang the pit like an automated mexican-wave generating machine with always seem to come but a hair's breadth from either decapitation or serious concussion.
Elektra Records must be kicking themselves for dropping this band, for tonight they own this crowd. When finishing their main set, they descended down the stairs at the side of the stage. It was easy to see the smiles growing on their faces as they heard in triple digit decibel levels that the audiences appetites were not yet satiated. Without further ado, they returned to the stage to play their encore.
