Reggie Youngblood's smile after introducing Bernard Butler to the stage is mesmerising. It spreads across his face - even outstretching the expanded 'fro above him. Suddenly Black Kids have hit the big-time.
Famous guest appearances, gargantuan pop tunes and dancing crowds. Black Kids have just about every weapon in their arsenal. It's amazing to think how far they have progressed over the past two years, and its not something that Youngblood takes for granted.
Youngblood proclaims tonight to be one of the best night's of his life to an equally exuberant audience, before realising Butler's already boomed out the first chords to 'My Christian Name'.
It'll be hard to forsake their passage to indie pop royalty from here. Already they have the trademark “ba ba ba ba bi bi boo” catchy choruses, and in 'I'm Not Gonna Teach Your Boyfriend How To Dance', they have a track perfect for 200,000 bopping revellers at Glastonbury.
Tonight they play to a capacity 836 at London's ULU - and there isn't a static soul in the house. Black Kids, like Youngblood's 'fro are here to stay and the only way is up.
Special mention too should go to both Collapsing Cities who were immense, as too were Cut Off Your Hands. Photos below.

Great night wasn't it. The crowd seemed really revved up for it which is weird considering it was London. Great review!
