Metronomy are here to prove that black will always be the new black this afternoon in the closest festival to Glastonbury (geographically we must add) which isn't Glastonbury.
With the trio taking to the stage with what appear to be smoke alarms covering their hearts, it's clear that the theme of their show is robotica. Performing with the aid of staccato, mechanical, semi-choreographed movements the boys make motion blur a thing of the past. Sure the whole thing is somewhat reminiscent of an Austin Powers modelling photo shoot, but we're quite sure the music is better.
Each kitted out with a synthesizer as well as each member carrying their main weapons of bass guitar, electric guitar and saxophone respectively they certainly show a talent for multi-tasking. If only there were more people present to witness it.
