Gareth Los Campesinos! sits cross-legged on the stage, one song into his band's set, puffing on an inhaler as he comes to terms with the amount of energy he has just expended.

Having sung amongst the crowd at the start, he barely gets chance for two chemically enhanced breaths, before the rest of the band launch into the next song.

It's this kind of energetic live performance that we've come to expect from Los Campesinos!, a band that have built steadily over the past few years, culminating in the revered release of their debut album earlier this year.

Saturday's live show was supreme in every sense of the word, with touching moments of sadness, coupled with bouts of delectation, with Gareth declaring it as the band's "Wembley, Knebworth and Pyramid Stage, a dream come true to play here."

If ever there is a band that is deserving of hype, this is they. Pass on the message.

Just saw these guys last night at Johnny Brenda's in Philadelphia. Had only heard Me!U!Dancing! one time on our listener-supported radio station WXPN and went to the show to hear more. The band did not disappoint! LC! are buzz-worthy in my book, and I will be spreading the word.

I actually liked the Halloween review you did of LC! and You Say Party We Say Die!

LC! in Exeter

Those costumes are hilarious.

There's only one LC!
