Let's get something straight. Bradford Cox is the embodiment of outlandish dress. Notorious in the past for wearing sundresses, or fake blood smeared across various parts of his body.
Yet today, our skinny superhero is dressing down, clad in a grey t-shirt and similarly light trousers, except that is for a daisy chain that quite bizarrely nestles upon his chin.
It wasn't that long ago that many were predicting the demise of Deerhunter.
Last year, Colin Mee, guitarist with the band stated that Deerhunter "were receiving [and creating] too much press that had nothing to do with any new music being created.... I don't want to be overexposed. I don't want the world to know what our excrement looks like or what we are selling on eBay or whether we got robbed"
So perhaps with that in mind, the new and improved Deerhunter have scaled back their eccentricities back a notch.
But most importantly, the music is still on a par with the great Deerhunter live performances of past, with Cox constantly perched at the end of the stage, almost toppling over into his raptured audience.
With a new album called 'Microcastle' slated for later this year, Deerhunter are still anything but bland.
I didn't know a band had to be intelligent to make interesting music. I guess the bands you like they are all magna cum laudes or so. Bradford has studied much more music than you and me and both together man. MySpace sham? Check your sources how they got their stuff heard. Yeah, you have no clue about Deerhunter... I guess just leave them alone.
I could understand if you don't like them. But to call them nauseating?
That's just plain rude! :-D

this band is fucking nauseating, and a terrible rip off.
...furthermore, theyre not very original or intelligent to speak too, I did talk to Colin they guitar player after a show and had very good convo with him though.
Honestly Brad Cox comes off as someone who has studied media well and is a puppet. This band is a myspace sham.
How they get all this hype I have no clue.
